I was always wondering what other people think about stats? I'm sure that BF2 might have less players if there weren't so many people fixated on getting their stats up.
I mean, when you're playing another mod without stats, you really don't care about points. It's all about fun.
However in BF2, stats are a very important of the game. They give unlocks (Even more critical to have unlocks in 2142)
We ALL think about stats sometimes, and don't say "I don't care about stats at all" Because I'm sure that we all do things that give us points over teamwork sometimes
So stats are really good and bad. They're a great way of tracking your progress through the game, and they make it rewarding working for things like awards and unlocks...however sometimes they go above just having fun for some people, and that's when you get stat padding, etc.
So what do you think?
