Being fairly new to the game, and can i say I'm loving it, i have a question. If it's been asked before can someone get the admin guys to delete it please.

I have found from my limited experience, that i don't use my preferred kits on some of the maps, i.e. whats the point of AT on infantry only. So i thought i would get some thought on what some people use of different types on maps, or if the just used whats needed, or always use your preferred kit.

I like AT particularly on Karkand IO. Just kill someone, and then blow up the swarm of medics that comes along . Lately, I've realized how to own people with AT rockets, and the SRAW is my new best friend.

Theres no one best kit. It depends on what you are doing.

For all maps, in armour: engineer.
Jets: Doesnt really matter, but medic I guess so you can find dead teammates on the radar and hence find enemies. Ditto with helis
Mobile AA: Support for re-supply.

If you are on the ground, outside the city maps: definitly AT. Sometimes engineer for laying AT mines.

IO city maps: medic, assault, support or sniper. Depends on your playstyle.

City maps on normal mode: medic, assault, support or sniper. AT for vehicle killing....especially good on Mashtuur for all the Humvees. Engineer for the armour and Spec Ops for, well, not much really I find its one of the most useless kits in the game.

Engineer does not mean tank whoring, I just like to trick people. Besides mines can defend distant flags even if you're not there so it's ideal for low players (16p)

Jihad Jeeping - ok, fair enough. But you can certainly do more productive things and leave that to the helis and jets.

Blowing commander assets - whats the point? 1 point per asset, get killed and they get repaired by a crate or engineer. Waste of time.

C4 is only useful on city maps vs armour, and only if they are stupid enough to go into narrow streets, etc. Otherwise, you might as well be firing a pea shooter at it.

But then, thats based on the maps that I play - which is different from 90% of this game

I have no favourite kit for any map. I just take the kit I feel will be the most useful in the current situation. (for example take Medic kit on Great Wall and FAMAS whoring on the rampart in order to prevent other team from reaching other flags..)

Hmmm...AT on everything. Reason?  On the large maps, 90% of player are in vehicles. What is the point of being a class unsuited to eliminating the majority of the threats? On medium maps, such as Oman or Sharqi, it isn't as important, but vehicles still are a major factor. On the small maps (urban) tanks own everything unless dealt with. Why not be the person to do it? Plus, with your DAO-12, you win most infantry battles you fight.

Also, you can heal your gunner or pilot when getting hit by bullets.
(Not that the jet/heli will survive long enough to actually make a difference.)

I reload the second I finish killing something once I get cover. Six shells takes half the time and doesn't waste ammo.

the best kit at anytime is whichever kit your squadleader needs to most

however IMO all people that are playing as assault or sniper (besides for noob-jector purposes) could be better filled by a medic

Great Wall - Engineer :-) This is a great map to be engi, it has many chokepoints, and the roads are dark so its hard to see mines. Also great for tank whoring.

I agree with most of your thoughts, except about Spec Ops.

For someone like me, fairly new player, poor accuracy, this is a fun kit to play.  I do well with the weapons & it's fun blowing up the commander toys or leaving a little something for your enemies at a flag that is highly contested.

Plus I just love running around the Uncap blowing stuff up & stealing vehicles, it makes me feel naughty (LOL).  As spec Ops you aren't spotted on scans, this is a HUGE advantage over other kits.  Like I said though, I'm still a fairly new player so my tactics may not be the best.

Last and certainly least is the pistol.  Just something about the silenced pistol I like.
