has anyone here completed the GDI act v mission where the 1st few objectives are to capture enemies' super weapons and divert the mother warship??need help with this mission...how do i go abt it??
Capture enemy superweapon - easy. Send out a mammoth, two or three predators and an APC+engineer out to the left of base, capture rift generator. It's a bitch to keep as it comes under heavy attack, so I'd sell it and get 2500 points. I would also advise capturing the drone platform at this time and moving it back to your base, gives you a free scrin base.
The mothership - even easier. When you see it appear, get firehawks, bomb and destroy the disruption towers which are marked. That's it.
As for the rest... Liquid tib bomb the nod base or just capture it (prob capture it, gives you all three superweapons). Then annhilate the big weird structure using everything you have (but watch for storm columns!)

thanks for the advice..finally managed to complete that mission...but with quite abit of damages...captured the rift generator but it was destroyed even though i tried to defend it...liquid tiberium the center nod base, captured the scrin drone platform and finally destroyed the remainin nod bases and the main objective...
i was on the verge of givin up after tryin it like so many times..

It can be difficult. My usual order of operations is to send a rig, three or four mammoths and several engineers out west to neutralize the rift generator and capture some buildings. Put up a bunch of GDI AA platforms to beat off the Scrin counter-assault. Immediately after, I send five or six mammoths to the center of the map to take out the nuclear missile silo (or capture it with an APC-bound engineer, if you have time), then send those same mammoths, some more engineers and another rig up to the Nod base to neutralize that (hit their power generators and airfields with superweapons to make things easier, if one's up) after taking out their mini-MCV's. The most that Nod'll be able to do is hit your main base with their tiberium bomb. At the same time, unpack some AA to the northwest of your main base (lightning towers too, if you can) to help beat off the mothership. A couple mammoths placed on defense will help. On the west side, you should've captured a drone platform. Pack it up as soon as possible (during the Nod raid) and send it to your base to keep it from being destroyed by Scrin "air-tillery". With your rig and mammoths still hanging around east of the rift generator, unpack as many lightning towers as you can around the structure.e[V]o|ut|on wrote:

At your leisure, tech everything up, and take the Scrin apart piecemeal, or just haul off and smash the primary objective with all three superweapons. If you've still managed to hang onto the Scrin structures to the west (at least everything to the southeast of the rift generator), that'll be the most you have to worry about protecting. The Scrin tend to ignore the Nod base once you've captured it. You'll get the goody two-shoes win for not blowing up Europe, and the most you'll lose will probably be a couple mammoths, an APC and some power generators.

That game's still great. It'd be awesome to see it brought over to the new engine. Couple things though...how many bullets can Tanya carry around, and how many BF2 soldiers could she kill?

I liked all the C&C games, even Renegade. I am tolerant enough to allow for stylistic deviation, as long as something is fun to watch or play, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with C&C3's style. EA really went to a lot of effort for the Tiberium universe, and more than they really had to. I mean, there's over an hour of FMV footage in there, and the red zone landscapes are masterful.e[V]o|ut|on wrote:

Supreme Commander may be a superior technological achievement with more UI functionality, but it can't hold a candle to C&C as far as style is concerned.
