A complete mess, I dont know what to say about it but that and I really dont ever see a peaceful Middle East ever, people just dont get along period.
No, there is no chance. Shiites in Iraq--such as Moktada al-Sadr--have been close to Iran for many years and, as the majority in Iraq, Shiites were guaranteed to head any new Iraqi government. There was no way to remove that asshole Saddam without creating a country allied with the Iranian assholes.lowing wrote:
any chance this is because the progress toward a real stable govt. has been thwarted by those at home? This new govt. sees and knows our stay there is short lived now, we will NOT be staying to finish the job that was tsked to our troops. I take all of this as the "new govt." as climbing into bed with who is going to be left there after we leave. This new govt. knows it has no power, it also knows it will not have the US there to help it. So it is trying to make friends with who will be there and can hurt them.Kmarion wrote:
Lowing the government that they are trying to support and protect in Iraq is now aligning itself with Moktada al-Sadr. You don't see a big problem there?
I'm not reading all that, but I came to the conclusion that anybody can rearrange a map and make new countries.
Even 5 year olds.
Even 5 year olds.
It is important to note that the person who made the maps is not saying this should be done by force. He is just showing "in a perfect world" the best way to accommodate everyone. Of course anyone losing land would be outraged.Ryan wrote:

Muslim outrage is systemic, mundane, misdirected and boring.
I still maintain they have their choice: know peace or meet God.
Taliban is restaking its claim on Afganistan, war looms on the frontier with Pakistan. Iran spins its centrifuges.
I'm waiting world , wtf ya gonna do about it?

and as before you are more than welcome to join me and the other assholes that still believe in morals and principals.
Bring our our people home, secure our borders, and when the next attack occurs on Americans we go after the States that sponsor Terrorism. Not by putting our troops in shitholes, we make Shock and Awe look like a fucking Tea Party. No occupation, no rebuilding, no bullshit.ATG wrote:

The public got pissed about the Military Forces occupying Iraq...They called for an Iraqi Government. The US Government backed off and rushed a vote to place in a government to run itself almost overnight. The government took office, and we handed over most of control to these corrupt people. Now because we rushed this government into place, this is Iraq. Thank you tree huggers. Thank you snivling bitches like mrs. clinton. Most of the problems stem from this puppet Shia government that was rushed into place. If you could see half of what we deal with you would understand 9/10 raids on a shia militia are cancelled, or we let the asshole go. Yet we are free to raid sunni houses and sunni militia's.. Hell we dont have to release the sunni detainees. 90% of the time we don't even have the chance to bring them to the FOB we get orders to drop them off at an Iraqi army FOB. Does that sound like its fair? It doesn't to me. The sunni hate us cause it seems we like to pick on them. The shia hate us cause sadr
You FAILED me. Not the other way around. And now while you eat nice meals, and profit off my bleeding,
all the while playing political hardball, not giving us what we truely need to fight and survive. I thank you all.
Its my blood and the blood of my friends that are trying to correct what the public insisted on happening.
Now im extended, risking my life, for nothing. But as long as that general running things gets a nice shiny new medal, I guess my blood is worth it.
Don't blame me for holding the tail while the general pumps.
You want someone to blame? Blame yourselves for crying and protesting, while we fight and bleed. You made this political mess not me. I have a commitment to follow through with. I just shut the fuck up, signed for my weapons and ammo, and got on a fucking plane.
Guess what buddy? NO ONE MADE YOU SIGN UP! Your ass has done nothing for our freedoms or security. I love it when all these big bad soldier types get online and whine and cry like bitches because they don't understand the consequences of their own actions.
basically, operation linebacker times ten. maybe more. (on a side note, continuation of said campaign could have changed the outcome of that war, but that's a different story)Kmarion wrote:

As Nixon so elegantly put it: "the bastards have never been bombed like they're going to be bombed this time"
im sick of pussyfooting around with people who are more or less openly at war with us through a proxy.
That fat prick Sadr needs to be assassinated. . . . .
He has been a thorn in our side for too long, and his life needs to end to bring more stability! (if possible)
Like I have said AGES AGO!!! Remove frivolous ROE's and kill the son of a bitch!

That picture should be replaced with the same person merely dipping his toes into the Iraq quagmire.Kmarion wrote:
We could take the hundreds of Billions of dollars we are pouring in there and invest more in our intelligence agencies. That would seem like a much more effective way to combat terrorism. still kicking that dead, rotten horse? no, you're still trying to fit a saddle on that dead, rotten horse. they don't even want us there. The elected President of Iraq took sided with a Terrorist and kicked us out.lowing wrote:
No Cam, it is a testiment to the failure of certain political groups to actually support our troops and let them finish the job they were tasked to do.
Supporting the troops does not mean brining them home so they don'y get killed like most of you suggest.
It means letting them do their jobs with the full backing of their country. When you support the troops, you support their mission. You simply can not say I support the troops but disagree with their efforts and their mission. THey were sent to Iraq to set up a stable working govt. The poiticians and the people that support these politicans did everything they possibly could to make sure that mission failed. All for the want of the White House.
Congratulations on yours and your terrorist allies for your victory. I sincerely hope that Iraq and all the ME that live like shit get everything they have coming.
I will heed your advice about minding our own business and support the complete an utter indifference to Africa.....YOU go and fix it, WE, will sit back and watch for a change.

IMO, its a good example of how sensitive topics can be debated maturely.
Clearly the democrats fault. (If you have not noticed just about everything I say here is sarcastic with the exception of the following:
Really this was inevitable. GWfuckingBush's hard on for the guy who tried to kill his daddy; one could almost break it down to that. He said it himself. He's a WAR president. I remember at the onset of this fucking thing when the majority of the boys I work with were really stoked about kicking Iraq's ass. Now that two of them are over there it's a bit different feel at the workplace. Since this thing started the little punks I work with have: (and they are all under 25) had heart attacks, (yes plural, due to drugs) crashed their cars, been cheated on by their women, gone to jail for innumerable violations of the law,... I could go on but whats the point. Now they all think GW is a fucker. Not that any of them voted but if they had it would have been for Bonehead. The article posted for opinion basically reflect exactly how I felt from the onset of this war, with the exception of one thing:
There was no way EVER to win this war.

My plan for Iraq is simple.
1.Give the troops what the fuck they need
2. Close the fucken borders
3.Evacuate all civilians out of the country temporarily
4.Classify all those who stayed as hostile
5.Make Iraq one giant battlefield between us and them
6.Destroy the main insurgency
7.Re-deploy the Iraqi army as a security force
8.Rebuild the whole country
9.Move the civilians back in
10.Get out of the country and let them handle it unless they ask for our help(Repeat steps 1-5 if needed)
Now i know i aint gonna destroy the whole insurgency just the ones that will stay are the most hard lined and killing them will morally destroy the insurgency.
