I was surfing the web the other night and went through Gamespy. It showed 15K people playing BF2 through their service, 7.5K playing 2142, then WoW and other stuff much lower. Check out those numbers. This game is still very popular.

I guess it will fade out a bit since the mod "Eve of Destruction 2" dropped last friday

Well, they could also do Battlefield Korea. I WISH they would come out with a straight up BATTLEFIELD. One that encompasses all of the Battlefield line, but with DX10 graphics. Maybe they could include battles from OTHER wars. Maybe one of the India/Pakistan clashes? Maybe some Spanish Civil War battle? Maybe some Sino-Japanese action from the 30's? Maybe something from the Iran/Iraq war? I'm not talking about basing a whole game on these battles, just a battle here and there from them would be pretty cool.
If not, a new, updated BF1942 (change it to 44-45) would be very nice.

Well if Dice does'nt Fuck up the successor to 2142 or if Dice makes BF3 more like PR then yeah it will die. But right now i see it outliving 2142.

Oh... I so hope Dice doesn't make BF1914. I'll ignore it much like I did with BF Vietnam until they came out with the 1942 maps for it.

Then they could have some of the ones I mentioned above with it along with some thoretical, but very possible, wars/battles, like Egypt/Libya, Isreal/Syria, India/China (already mentioned India/Pak), Turkey/Greece, Turkey/Iraq, maybe a naval/island battle between Canada and Denmark over the oil fields between Greenland and the NWT...
