Hello Everybody

MY problom is this:
Since upgrading from 512mb RAM and 128mb ATI
to a "nicer" 1.5Gb RAM and 256Mb ATI Radeon card

My BF2/2142 game has became more choppy and laggy so i thought a modem rebot will sort that but made no difference im norm ping at around 30. Is it bad hardwere? i tryed uninstalling all them and started fresh with still no luck

any ideas?

thanx

It could be that you have do not have enough fysical RAM, so your PC is drawing it from your HD, which is much and much slower. But this is only the case when you have everything on high, just like I had.

Just because you have the same brand vid card you still need to do a fresh install of the drivers. Try these out http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?opti … Itemid=41/

what is your FPS in-game? you can find this by using the console (~ key) command : renderer.drawfps 1

and everyone lags on titan..

also, download the latest drivers from www.Ati.com...if you have a 265mb card, the drivers are probably old...

Did u get the SAME TYPE of RAM (its not a good idea to mix your RAM type). They have to be the same speed otherwise your whole RAM will run @ the slowest speed.

Del and reinstall your video drivers. Dont have to get the latest. What you currently have should be enough.

If the above dont work, then your RAM could be shot.

when you get rid of your drivers, i would use drivercleaner...i think that theres a free version out there somewhere, but i couldnt find it on their site (check download.com, all the likely culprits). also, if that fails, i know that theres a few...trackers...out there that can help you get it.

Read how to uninstall drivers the correct way here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=67799 and yes drivercleaner is the best app to use to remove drivers. I use it everytime I try out different drivers for my card.

mind telling us what video cards you actually had/have? (important details such as those are usually quite useful)
