Got my exams coming up:

Physics > Not looking forward to it. I did amazing in our first main test, better than anyone in the class and better than most in the year (i'm in one of the worst classes). Teacher has high expectations for me, and I don't.

Biology > Not good at this at all. I just can't get the material into my head.

Maths > Any tips on remembering the likes of formulas etc? I find it nion impossible untill I spend 10 minutes looking at 1 formula.

R.E > What can I say.. If I get 10% I'll be happy.

English > Fine.

Spanish and French > Concerned, to say the least. My parents have high expectations of Spanish and my French teacher has expectations for me to do well. I suck at learning.

That's basically a small run down.. Any tips on revision techniques? I am a bit worried as these are my final real set of school-set exams (GCSEs are external) and I do want to do well.

Well, I would advice to just read the books and memorize them xD. That's what I do and I am doing A2(final year). I am studying maths, chemistry and biology.
Regarding maths, u just really need practise, do as much questions as u can, from the book or past paper. Chemistry, you  need to both undersand and remember stuff, like understanding mechanisms of reactions and remembering equations of reactions. And finally biology, which is really based on facts, and u gotta deal with it by remembering it!

EDIT: not sure about the others, as I don't really have any interest in them. Well I don't need to study RS, to get into medicine, do I?

If you cant remember for shit then study til you drop on school and at home, have you got a friend to help you out ? ... is often easier to digest heavy material in a group by talking about it and sharing views thus giving it a meaning and it will stick easier to thy brain

well if you suck at learning, you should try to make a list of what you have to do, and than plan when your going to learn it. If your learning just grab a bottle fill it with cold water to keep your head cool and drink alot of water from Now on at least untill your being tested, it's proven that if you drink enough water you will remember more.

All i can say is Practise Papers.

Go onto your exam board website and download previous papers. Do them and then check with the mark schemes. This way not only do you learn the facts, but also the format that they are presented to you in the exams.

Hey it works.... I got 9 A*s and 2 As.

Can't you use a book with the mathematic, physic and chemistry formulas and tables in your exams?
In Finland we can use a table book called MAOL that has mostly every table and formula you're going to need.

Of course you need to know how to use them and there are no examples but you don't have to remember everything by heart.

for maths/physics

what has always worked for me is to learn why everything is the way it is. Its not like some genius came up with an universal formula in his sleep. For physics/math everything is logical. I have a bad (read terrible) memory for facts, but as long as you understand the concepts you can reconstruct most formulas. Once you have them its just plug in the number, punch it into your calculator and write down the answer.

Mock tests can also help a lot.

That way you can get good results without spending a lot of time studying. I got a 6 (/7, but 6 is a very good grade, think of it as an A-) for both Physics higher level and math HL for my IB diploma (I know its not the same thing, but its close enough) while studying maybe 2 days for the tests.

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

When I did my GCSE's Maths was my big problem and even to this day I suck at maths.

What I did, was got the course text and read each page over and over until u knew each page off by heart.  That way you will drum all of the formulas and techniques into your head.

This seriously works, try it.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Have a lot of sleep. Concentration is what it's all about - especially in Physics and Maths.

try and get some past papers(old test papers) and a revision book, go through the book in pen and answer the questions you know with out using the rivison book, then go through the test again with the revision book and use a different colour pen and answer the questions you dont know with the revison and different colour pen and then you know what you need 2 revise on

All I can say is for math, write the formulas on your calculator with a pencil

Oh, Math is EASY to study for. Because ive got a graphic calulator, I just write a program that has all the forumlas and download it to my calculator.

Yeah except for IB exams they take your calculator and wipe the memory clean before you enter.

I can still cheat on in-class exams though, trig programs ftw.

R.E. is the biggest load of bullshit. Your technically forced to learn about others religions such as the Muslim religion whilst they get exempt from class to go home as they don't need to learn about Christianity or what not.

And alough I did all this like 3 years ago now, its easy looking back. Maths is easy enough to do in your head, but hex, binary and what not is a lot quicker to do it on a calculater even though you ain't allowed in exams haha. English is a case of knowing what to do and how to put it on paper. Physics I did but that was easy enough, passed the language as well but I didn't even bother to study for any of that.
