Carbine?

What is considered a carbine? i know the spec ops weapons are carbines but are any of the medic guns carbines also? B/C i have assault rifle as most used gun but im wondering when i get the medic unlocks are they carbines or assault rifles?

well thats great i barely use the assault rifle but it's my fav bc two classes use it carbines are only used by spec ops

carbines are shortened versions of other rilfes
examples: M16 = M4A1
AK47 = AKS-74u
G36 = G36C

There are no carbines for AK-47 & AKM

Some more examples : QBZ-95 = QBZ-95B ( QBZ-97 in BF2 , which is actually wrong . QBZ-97 ( 5.56x45 , able to be feeded with STANAG mags ) is an export mode of QBZ-95 ( 5.8x42 )

wrong, the SCAR family is assault rifles

In RL right, but in BF2 the SCAR-L counts as a carbine (that means if u play spec ops with the SCAR-L the time will show as carbines in ur stats)
