Intel Corporation may be planning to once again speed-up its quad-core offering next quarter from the current 1066MHz processor system bus. Just like with its Core 2 Duo microprocessors, Intel will release a chip with four processing engines featuring a 1333MHz PSB. In Q3 2007, the $999 Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 microprocessor is projected to use the code-named Clovertown design, two pieces of silicon on a single slice of substrate, operate at 3.0GHz and use a 1333MHz PSB. In the third quarter of the year the world’s largest maker of x86 microprocessors will also reduce pricing of its currently shipping Core 2 Quad Q6600 chip to $266 and will introduce the Core 2 Quad Q6700 at a $530 price-point.

nice deal

1333. That's, substantial to say the least. That'll work immensely well with a motherboard which accepts 1111MHz RAM.

Nope he clearly means the Q6600. The whole point of the article is about quad core CPUs getting faster and lower end quad cores getting cheap.
