I had them for two fucking years. You'll hate it and yes, they fucking hurt when the bastard, sorry, orthodontist, tightens them. You'll be grateful in the end though, my teeth are perfect now.

Coming up on three years with 'em! Wohoo!...
Everything has pretty much been said before I guess. It does take a while to get used to them, but once you do, you rarely notice that they are there anymore.
And just a note that the wires are somtimes sharp and they will catch on the inside of your cheeks sometimes and thats not much fun.

your jaw will hurt for 1-3 days which will pretty much force you walk around like a idiot with your mouth open for that time. but then you won´t barely notice them. annoying when food decidedes to camp you bracers though.

There´s no pain at all when they put em in so don´t worry and you won´t regret yourself when they put em out so now go get em.

the first 2 or 3 three days it will feel a bit weird having this metallic object in your mouth, and you might have some metal part occasionally touching the inside of your cheeks. my teeth got really sensitive during the first week and i couldnt eat anything harder than rice (which often got stuck in my braces) so soup was the best option for week one. also its a bit hard to talk with them for the first week. after about 2 weeks i got used to all the things that bothered me and i could talk normally and eat normally. once i got them taken off it felt incredibly weird having such smooth teeth and everything! on a whole, whatever discomfort you have is definitely worth it for the final result of nice teeth.
