In my 10th grade history course we were watching Saving Private Ryan, and in the beginning of the movie there's a long scene of the D-Day landing on Omaha beach. I happened to be sitting next to an attractive yet rather stupid girl. Why do the hot ones always have to be stupid? Anyway...

"Are they shooting at the guys on the beach?"
"...Yes, this is a scene depicting the D-Day landing in Normandy in 1944."
"But, like why are they killing them? I don't understand."


After watching American History X in high school, senior year.
"Ms. Edwards, why did Derek have a windmill tattooed on his chest?"


11th Grade History. Can't ever forget it.
"Why did the US attack Pearl Harbor?"

My sister, sophomore in high school, long ago:
"Why did the Mexicans wait until now to move to America? They should have discovered it! They were RIGHT THERE."


This came from my AP US History teacher in high school. She was also the head of the school's history department.
