the 4300 is THE overclocker of the C2D series, right? so is it worth it to buy a 4400, 6300, or a 6400 instead, assuming im going to be overclocking?

My friend's E6300 went from 1.8 to 3.1 GHz with stock cooling. They are both excellent, but E4300 hasn't got VT.
They're all pretty much the same chip, just different cache/speed.
The 6600 jumps you from 2MB to 4MB of L2 cache.
