Computer not loading games

my computer is not starting up any games since i had to reformat because i had a trojan horse, and now it won't load any games, i install the games and go to play like in bf2 were it pops up with the bf2 symbol and then goes to black screen about to load for a split second and then dies and no game loads and am still on normal desktop screen, this is with every game it seems it starts to load and gives up within a second,
i have reformated 4 times now and it hasn't helped it just keeps failing to load any game

im pritty sure i have the right drivers but maybe not the most up to date ones :S
intel pentium D 3.00 ghz
1 gig ram
geforce 256mb 6600 gt graphics
250 gig HDD
windows XP SP2

ok what does "pritty sure" mean......did you download them again?
cause if not, i doubt you have the most recent.

EDIT: back to the OP:
download the latest drivers for your graphics card and chipset. Download all updates. Make sure your ram works properly by running a few laps of memtest 86+. Check your system for instability with prime95. Clean out your registry. Check that you have no viruses/spyware.

@noggin, thanks for posting specs. i was gonna tell you to just worry about video (same thing happened to me back when i was a CSS noob), but i see you got it.
