Ok...I have been thinking that when I get my PS3 later on in the summer, I am gonna have a hard time connecting it WIRELESSY.
Basically, my computer is connected to a network with around 200 PCs. I asked the admin of the company if I can have a line, so I don't need to pay for the internet connection and he said, it's OK..(NO PO*RN though)
So my computer got connected in a really weird way. They got rid of my ADSL wireless modem, and all the cables which were connected into the phone socket. Now I have an Ethernet cable running from an Ethernet switch (mounted into the wall) into the back of my computer.

How could I use my wireless router again? It has 4 ethernet sockets and one where the phone line used to be connected.

Any help would be appreciated.

you may be able to use it as an access point by plugging the ethernet cable from you switch into one of the swith ports on the router, then your computer to the router as well.  This works on some wireless routers, however you need to disable DHCP on the Router so you can still communicate on the correct subnet.  You will have to play with the settings a bit.  Otherwise just get a wireless access point since the DSL router may not work at all with out a DSL connection.

So basically you are saying to connect the ethernet cable from the switch on the wall into one of the ports in the router. Then use another ethernet cable to connect my computer to the second port in the router?

Yea, but you need to make sure that your router does not interfere with DHCP.  The trick will be accessing the router's management IP to configure it.  Else you may have to static your computer IP so it can rout properly.  The last time I did this was with a Dlink wireless router.  I know they had a KB on how to make it work.

If you have issues, see if your work minds you puting a wireless router behind the switch and then just go get one at the store.  You can then segement your home network from the rest and not worry about routing.  You just can't do that with the one you have because it is designed to feed to a DSL connection instead of an upstream ethernet connection.

Ok, I know it might not work, but I connected my netgear wireless router as u stated above, and the internet is working Perfectly, though I won't be able to test if I can use it with other devices with a built in Wi-Fi i.e. the PS3, as I don't have it yet.
I have a little problem though. When I try and access the setup screen for the router, by typing \\192.168.0.1 in the browser, I don't get the options that I used to get about the netgear router. I get information about another router called "ZyXEL", I guess that's the router the company are using right? Is there no way I can access my router setup?
