I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
Go democrats *toot toot*
Wait behind the line ..............................................................
WRONG!
Bush, Cheny, Rusmfuck, Wolfy, Condi (any other cunt?) lost.
Dems are cashing in. Wouldn't you?

So if Democrats' simply stating that the war is lost actually constitutes a loss, then all the administration needs to do to "win" (which has never actually been defined) is to clap louder...right?
Iraqi's lost. Embarrassing for the US, Tragic for them.m3thod wrote:

With all the death and destruction, the Iraqi people have paid a high price. I wonder if they have figured out that Muslims, not the infidels, are responsible for over 90% of all deaths. Further to that, other Muslim countries like Syria and Iran are also playing them. They are their worst enemy.
dems can not be responsible for losing the war. i blame the guy who said he won before it was over

For anyone who doubts that things are getting worse (or that the US can't control the violence, even with the famous "surge") click on the following link and track the number of bombings in Baghdad.

15 more years! 15 more years!
I'm continually surprised in how little faith some conservatives have in the US. It's as though many of you think every setback equals the death of the country or that every possible enemy looms larger than life.Dezerteagal5 wrote:

It's astounding, really. It's like a whole population held captive by their insecurity and fears. Fears that are nearly always overstated.
well shit, we lost Vietnam and Korea....i don't speak either of thoseDezerteagal5 wrote:

Korea wasn't a loss, it was a stalemate ending with a peace treaty
LOL. Well your troop surge was a load of bullshit that did nothing so I can't see it any other way: the war is 'lost' (I thought it was a reconstruction operation, not a war!). Now let the Iraqis fight amongst themselves in peace...DBBrinson1 wrote:

Bear in mind, only 60% of the surging forces have even deployed yet.
If the war is lost, why did Reid invite Petraeus to brief the Senate next Wednesday? I just find it curious that he would make that statement now and not after getting briefed.
(I'm questioning Reids intent not the outcome of the war)

Liberals didn't do shit, in fact all they are doing are using the power of hindsight and gloating at the Iraq failure. Low? Yeah, probably but some one's gotta do it.Masques wrote:

It was a Republican failure of which will cause much (short lived) embarrassment but it will be the Iraqi people who will really get it in the ass (source: Kman)
Raise one fist and shout Allah Ho Akbar my brother. Feel free to expend AK-47 bullets.

I'd just like to point out for the record m3thod that I foresaw practically all of this. Right back to the 'anthrax vial in the UN' charade. Yet nobody listened to this Irishman - Ireland: living proof that no-one wants any higher powers dabbling in their affairs, arriving unwelcomed or overstaying what little welcome they had, that people are prepared to resist to the bitter end with the most inhumane methods available and that hatred is the hardest emotion to overcome.m3thod wrote:

In the end, the pen is mightier than the sword.
Why don't the Republicans just win the war by saying it's won, since obviously a Democrat saying it's lost constitutes a loss? Or is it more likely that, like most things in Washington DC, this is just more useless politics on both sides of the aisle?

None of our business is right. Business of neighbouring nations maybe but not us. Why be so selective if you're going to be an interventionist anyway? Why not North Korea? Why not Zimbabwe? Why not poor Chechnya?Kmarion wrote:

Raise your hand if you think the Iraq war is going well
Raise your hand if you think Iraqis are living in peace now that Saddam is gone
Raise your hand if you think terrorism around the globe has diminished
Throwing in the towel? Not so much as admitting the mistakes of this country. Something Bushy boy could never do.

Well. . . . at least someone in that defeatist party threw in the towel OFFICIALLY!!
Reid at least has the balls to not "skirt" around how he really feels. . . .
I admire him for telling the true intentions of the democrat party.
Which is cut and run, surrender, undermine our troops, and give momentum to our enemies. Senator Reid sure has suggested all/achieved those goals thus far. . . .
As far as America is concerned. . . . we should shun those remarks! Reid is dead wrong, Iraq is not lost, nor is it won, but throwing in the towel is not an option for long term success in that region. I am not saying we give the Iraqi's unlimited support, but for christs sake, they need our help. Baghdad needs to be secured before we can claim victory, but saying we have lost is a political statement, not the reality on the ground. The reality on the ground is Iraq is still a very dangerous country, but the violence is relatively under control outside of Baghdad. Baghdad is a shit hole, and for anyone to claim Iraq a success, the terrorists/insurgents need to be defeated their first. We need to give our troops the assistance they need to make that potential victory a reality.
You engage in warfare to win, not fucking lose. . . . The Democrats seem to not get that concept! Vietnam was a perfect example. . . .You attack people but you dont give your troops the assistance/ROE's they need to win?? Then why fight? Why waste time and money if you dont want to win the fucking war? Let our combat troops do the jobs in which they are trained to do, and leave the asshole politicians out of it! Hence, we leave Senator Reid, Nancy Pelosi etc etc out of the decision making. . . .I dont see any soldiers showing up to work for them, and telling them how to be politicians. . . .who do these miserable fuckers think they are, telling the soldiers how to fight a war and win?
