So I had 515 pistol kills by the time my stats updated on here. I wait 2 rounds just make sure.. then I get 27 pistol kills in a single round.. And no expert Badge.
You know just to make sure the next round comes and I get 21 pistol kills still no award.

Anybody have any clues?

nope. As you have said you need to have the total pistol kills requirement of 500 before you enter the round in which you score 18+ pistol kills.

Maybe a glitch or the server just fucked up. try again, I am afraid.

.. Ok, Im sick of using my pistol lol.. might leave it a few days first before I get the 18 IAR.. that way Ea's stats can register the 500 several times over

Took 8 hours for bf2 to actually register the 500 kills... 1 expert pistol badge in my pocket

i want an expert badge, but they're all so hard. I do have a few vet ones. which i'm sort of proud of, like the explosives badge.

i can only get about 5 pistol kills in a round.

Sometimes I wonder if the EA servers are just extremely slow or if they just aren't getting my data at all.  Today I played Wake 2007 (a map I absolutely hate) just to camp--er, I mean, use--a mounted AA turret.  I stayed in for five minutes (closer to 10 actually) but no basic air defense badge.  Next round, I do the same thing.  Nothing.  Finally during the 3rd round I pull out a stopwatch and, just to make sure, time my stay in the AA turret.  Five minutes pass.  Six.  Seven.  Finally, I disconnect and still nothing.

So in short, yeah, it wouldn't have been the first time something got lost en route to someone's stats.  But your award did eventually come...
