How is that funny?
What if you worked for AMD and lost that much? I don't think you would be to proud of your hourly wage drop.
Maybe just because you like Intel more, doesn't mean you have to laugh at AMD's mistakes.

They will bounce back.

They'll be fine when Barcelona comes out. It'll be to AMD what Conroe was to Intel. Nicest thing about it isthat it'll work with your CURRENT AM2 based motherboard so you won't need to buy a new one! Intel hasn't been as friendly in that regard...

Try to understand guys, we consumers NEED AMD to survive. If Intel had no competition, we'd all be using 386's with 16 megs of memory right now. Competition spawns innovation.

yeah good point, but what if Intel takes over the market like Microsoft.

AMD is in a better position now than they were before they released the Athlon64. How? Four letters...

DELL

They didn't have Dell selling their stuff before, now, they selling them almost as fast as AMD can make processors.

Expect Barcelona to first come out in 3rd Qtr this year. It won't give AMD as long an advantage as they had when the Athlon64 first came out, but it will take a little while for Intel to catch up.

Ive always like intel but they're difficult to design with. anyone that has done low level work with em knows what i mean. like the pentium for example. a 20 bit physical address? were they high? i dont know much about how amd does their architecture. do they use little endian as well?
