hey guys, nothing much to do about bf2 but heres the story, new laptop came today so im installing all my games onto it bf2 was fine, i went to install guild wars and remebered that from a clean install there are loadsa updates to download in game and on a wireless connection it would take hours.

anyway, i have all the updated gw files on my pc which some to 2.5gb.  i didnt have any blank dvd disks but i did have cdr's. 2.5gb wont fit on a cdr so i rar'd the files and they are split into 4 rar files, ive burning them to disk just now.  once ive burned them all to disk how do i get them to all go back together on my laptop i.e. back to the 2.5gb file that it was??

cheers in advance

You should be able to use WinRAR to extract them. Just pop the disk in and then from WinRAR select the disk from 'Open Archive' and then it should be pretty simple from there. Just experiment if it doesnt work, you aren't going to mess anything up.

btw, i just reinstalled gw on a wireless connection and it only took about a half hour for initial updates and several minutes again before entering a major town.

WinRAR should extract all of them automatically when you extract the first one, if they are named *** part1, *** part2 etc. Also they all have to be in the same folder before you start extracting.

Other method is to extract each separately to the same folder and when it ask "Do you want to overwrite the current file?" click yes.

Both methods has worked for me perfectly.
