What has Darfur to do with VT? Nothing.CommieChipmunk wrote:
With my own thinking? I suppose thinking that all lives are equal is a bit preposterous in this day and age.
I was just pointing out a major flaw in American media/society.
I don't think I was stepping out of line or "too ignorant" when I said that the media had a fucking hay day with this VT story to the point where I actually stopped watching the news for a couple days because it was all Matt Lauer and his cronies sitting in the middle of the campus talking about what a huge tragedy it was. And there's no question.. it was an absolutely horrible thing and I really feel for the friends and parents of those 32 killed; but ffs it kinda gets your blood pumping when you realize that hundreds of thousands of people are dying and getting much less coverage than 32.
And just for the point of perspective take a look at this.

My point is that people should not capitalize on a sad story for political gain, especially gain that is not even relating to the same country the crime happened in,PekkaA wrote:
I think ATG just proved your point. Poor guy is so egocentric he takes every post as an insult to himself or his beloved redwhite&blue and can't see anything else.
and that, you have no point whatsoever.
