I was there when this was made too...
we had some issues with building at an angle, we tried the soccer ball thing too... we hadn't attempted to build many of these, but i agree that angling it and shooting objects could awesome.

I'm pretty sure they weren't your idea. Both of those have been posted in the Sir. forums numerous times months ago.
