An M1A2 was beat up pretty badly too. Apparently the IED was essentially 3 M109 shells detonating at once; thats a bit stronger than one tank shell.

A tank's weakest point is always its underside. Which, conicidentally, is where roadside bombs blow up. Not that hard to imagine.

The best way to disable a tank is to knock a tread off, then pick off those who come to save it. Ask any infantry commander.
