I have been having some slight computer issues that i at first thought i could remedy myself but have not been able to.  Once and awhile my computer will reboot itself, upon reboot the BIOS comes up does its memory test etc, and then fails when detecting my hard drives.   It will just flash "detecting array". Once or twice it has reported an error when detecting my RAID array.  When this happens i completely power down, check all the connections to the harddrive, psu, mobo, etc then turn the juice back on. This method hasn't failed me yet when bringing the system back, but the problem still remains. I'm pretty sure this could be a HDD issue, one of them failing or something. But I have a feeling it could be memory related, or a bad sata cable?, i guess the possibilities number in the hundreds, and thats why I'm asking you oh so intelligent and wise BF2's users for a little help or opinions on what could be wrong. Personally I believe its the hard drives shitting out.  I know this is long so thanks for taking the time to read it.

**see sig for specs.

when the raid bios pops up, press cntrl-I (should get you in the RAID bios...might be different). there might be something in there to help you out...

Wow, you're right it could be anything from both of your harddrives/memory being shitted up to just being a bad cable.

I'm going to guess the RAID has gone up the duff. You might have to reformat with just 1 HDD...but witch one?| Ack...Humm

I'm stuck.

yeah, it will say something like "found missing raid drive, would you like to add it to the array?" hit yes, and it should reboot and you should be good. this used to happen to me all the time before i started using diskeeper.

Are there any programs that i can use to diagnose my problem? a tool i can use to test my hard drives and ram? This reset thing happened twice last night, when i go into the RAID setup utility after getting an error detecting my RAID array it ony shows one drive, the other is missing. There has to be an easier way to find out wich one is the culprit without trying to reformat on each drive individually.

if it is connected right and the harddrive is still working, it will say "missing RAID drive found...restore?", or something, and you should be good.

otherwise, the harddrive is bad. you need to buy another one and redo your entire setup..
