Wow.. I really, really wish that they would add rappelling to Battlefield 2 from the helicopters. That would be such a great feature, I would love to see a squad bail from a black hawk with ropes.  This would add to the game so much in my book.

yah, would be cool.  although they did provide soldiers with chutes, which are better (if they would god-damn open when i tell them too!)

Well, don't think it would be too hard to add 'em in. I mean once the black hawk gets low enough you get the option to bail or not, it would be awsome to just set down a squad on top of the dam. Without having to go though the hazzle and dangers of landing.

Pretty sure you have to fall far enough for your body to lay flat before you can open the chute. To you your gun will go away. I wait until my gun dissapears then hit 9999999999 and it always works.

Personally I just want to be able to use Grappeling Hooks and Zip-Lines in the vanilla BF2 maps. I think it would be very cool and interesting. Not to mention change up the dynamic of the game. Esspecially the urban maps.

It already is..drop your grappeling hook and go down instead of up.

Edit: Oh you mean fast roping. I think they tried it, but it wouldn't work out right. They tried to code it into DC for BF1942 I think, with limited results, so DICE decided to nix it for BF2.
