Junky neighbors..

So i have this neighbor out here in California to the side of me who's house is just disgusting. Backyard is all messy and infested with rats that go into my yard and ruin stuff. There backyard is not even walkable its so messy and its a big fire hazard. Anyway i was just wondering if anyone on here has any advice on who to contact on how to resolve this issue.

Call the city. They should have a Public Works department that can help you. If they can't, try the Police. They'll know for sure if there are any city laws or codes that your neighbors are breaking.

South Cali - its been about 4 years since I've been there, I was stationed up at 29 palms ------ hmmmmm neighbor problems well not to sure about Cali laws ----- I'll buzz around google and see if I can find something for you

my neighbors are pretty fucked up too.they mow their "yard" maybe twice a year,but it's really just weeds and dirt.it's even better now because it just rained so now they have a swamp back there and it's fucking flooding into my yard.plus they have about 4 dogs,and they just got rid of their 2nd pit bull.the first one killed one of their other dogs so they got rid of it,and their second one attacked them so they got rid of that one too.you'd think they'd get the idea after the first one.plus they have random heaps of scrap metal around their yard.my house is pretty much right next to the ghetto,all you have to do is go back a street and you're there.so yeah,that's my happy little story.

you can call the cops. they may refer you to the fire department if it is really a fire hazard. the rat infestation is also a health and human services issue. the cops should be able to provide you with the info you need.

My neighbors accross the street are the same way. They live on the edge of a culdesac, so they have a large front yard. First they parked their trailer in it, then they began to build a fence around it. The fence pretty much ruined the neighborhood because it was so long and tall. Next, they bought a cruddy cheap motorcycle and left it in their driveway next to a pile of scrap wood and scrap metal. The tree in their front yard blew over and knocked 1/2 of their front fence over and their back fence. They left it there. Now there is a 1/2 knocked over fence and a tree sitting in the middle of their front yard. Wonderful...

that depreciates the value of your land, which is illegal. you have a case.
