Because it's not worth it. The performance doesn't double when you have 2 cards, it's better to have 1 strong card (8800GTX).
Btw, Ultra is the same card as 8800GTX, just frequencies are a bit higher. With a little overclocking or voltmod perhaps you can make Ultra out of GTX.

Ultra pricing is at 999usd. Fuck that, I'd rather get 2 8800GTX's.

BF2/2142 would run sweet on something like that, but I have no doubt you would pay highly out the ass for all that.

4 gig ram is a bit excessive at the moment so I'd suggest just 2 gig, upgrade later if deemed necessary

I'd go for 2 Big hard drives rather than three 80gig ones, maybe two 150 gig..

Do you truly need 2 Dvd writers exactly the same? I'd just use the one.

Dam those video cards would be nice... lol, shame you're the only one getting em..

Other than those points, thats a kick arse rig, if you do decide to scale down for some savings I might suggest upping your screen size (although I've heard BF2/2142 can look stretched on widescreen since it doesn't support it).

yeah in total including a 20inch monitor it comes to 1005 pounds, and i was thinking of taking a 250mb hardrive for music videos etc and a 150gb raptor hardrive for windows and games, and i thought the more RAM that i had the better, but i keep getting told its overkill lol so maybe i'll get rid of 2Gb.
To be honest with you i have no idea why i have two DVD drives the same, i think i mite of clicked it by mistake, and i dont get what u mean with the video card bit? im the only one getting em?

As said above, the best way to spend your money would be on a E6600/8800GTX/2GB RAM combo. You can always get another 8800GTX down the track and more ram (4gb is overkill atm)

he is right. one 8800 GTX is prolly gonna manage to run every game for the next 6 months to  a year.

Unfortunately, with the technology race we're going through now, it won't last much longer than that.

No game needs 4gb, or will even come close to using it.

Of course, until COD 4 and Crysis come out.

im not to sure. i think it should be ok but i dont have vista. i think there were only problems with the drivers when vista was first out . i think it may be ok now.
