I just got back from the store where I dropped $100 for one of these, and I have to say I'm not that impressed. Yeah, the scroll wheel is faster than any other, but there's a second, pretty much pointless wheel where your thumb is. Compared to the MX518, I don't think it was a good buy. It's ergonomics and scroll speed/response time just isn't what I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent mouse, but I don't think it's going to be a good buy for gaming. Your thoughts?
I think i'll stick with my good ol' G5

that mouse is not made for gaming. its a pure office mouse.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Really should have bought a Razer Copperhead... I love mine, great mouse!

Yeah I have a 518 on this comp (the one I have all my games on) so the Revolution is staying on my other computer, where I rarely play games.
Honestly I dont know.
I WAS thinking of getting it, but since I found out its battery powered, I think Ill drop it.
The only wireless mouse that I would use (IF I can find it) would be the MX700. Has the same layout
as the MX5x series, and doesnt use batteries. It uses a power stand instead like a cordless phone.
Oh and Im currently using a Logitech MX510

My good ole trusty MX1000 hasn't let me down yet. Only drawback is if you are left handed. This mouse is not intended to be used by a left handed person. Ergonomically set for a right handed user. Other than that it too has a stand for recharging and its a laser mouse like all the G series ones.
G5 is a great piece of hardware.
