Well, no vista for me. Yet. My computer is failing right now.

Well, I formatted the hardrive, tried to boot vista. No worky.
So I went back to Windows with the recovoery disk ( yes it is real, unlike vista ).

Now I have it installed, completely clean etc etc etc.

But the performance of my computer has gone down dramatically. Truly.
It takes forever to load a DVD-R; it is like the world ends when you try and open a large file; AND THE SCROLLING! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't scroll. The whole computer lags when I scroll over the internet. The page appears in lines, not smoothly like before.

I need to fix these problems. Now and fast.
There must be a way as I never had these on my virus/trojan/shit infested old hard drive and OS.

Zim ... have you loaded the correct video drivers.....wrong ones will cause lag if you have a decent graphics card

Now I need sound drivers. I have an awesome sound card and speakers, but i am not sure which drivers I have to get.

Problem there. No program can detect the sound card as it is not working because of the missing drivers.

SIW will tell you the Make of your sound card so you can go get the correct drivers..

I now have dual boot with VISTAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
It works perfectly.

I just installed Vista, had a few problems at first but all were easily rectified. TBH its really not much different.
