Every once in a while people decide to upgrade the drivers for their graphics cards. However, when I did it today, XP wanted me to "revalidate" my copy of windows upon restarting my PC. Wary of megahurtz stealing, I clicked on 'validate' and XP rejected my key. Strangely, the key it showed was NOT my real key, which I had used to install XP. So somehow, my key has been altered. I entered my real key and it accepted it, but I'd just like to know if anyone knows what the hell is going on. The drivers I had downloaded were from the official ATI site.

Too bad man, that and other reasons made me not buy a copy of Win XP. Open source and piracy ftw (lol in some cases ).
