Milan was one of 4 teams sanctioned last year after the huge scandal of match-fixing.  But the Uefa decided to allow Milan to play the UCL.  It seems someone has a lot of power in Milan.  I wonder who this guy is.  /sarcasm.

Yesterday Milan defeated Manchester and got the ticket to the final against Liverpool.
What do you think?  Is it fair that Milan is playing the UCL final?

I found it unfair when the Uefa allowed them to play the tournament.

I find it unfair yes, Juventus didn't get to play there, Milan shouldn't have either.

To answer your question: It's not even fair that they are still allowed to play football
in the 1st italian league. It's a stomp in the face of all candid italian clubs (i know it's
hard to believe, but they still exist^^).

Well if you think about it if they weren't allowed to play a crap team would replace em, which have no chance.

There isn't an Italian league at the moment, is there?

I thought it had been stopped because of riotting and violence and pitch invasions and stuff.

I find it unfair yes, as Juventus seemed to have been punished far worse than any other side involved in the scandal.
@ Bert:  The Italian league is still running.  I think there was trouble earlier in the season when a policeman was killed in rioting after a game?  Not exactly sure on the facts but the league is still running.

They should be able to play.

It makes the CL exiting, they're a good team, whats the point in some club winning it when they haven't played the better teams?

It's like on Rocky 3, or it might be 4. Someone has the belt but never beat Rocky, it belonged to Rocky.

sore losser tbh

also they only got in cause empoli fucked up and didnt apply for a licence to play in europe so they filled in

and Serie A was only off for a week after a cop was killed during rioting in the Palermo and Catinia (silcly derdy)

and all stadiums had to pass strict safty standards and wherent allowed fans till they where up to standard and i think all of them are now back open except catiania's

It's outrageous that a match-fixer team is playing the UCL final.  The Uefa and the Fifa are to football as the UN is to World politics.  Useless.

It's not like they've fixed their way into the final.

They will probably win, and rightly so.

No, they fixed the Italian Serie A.  Juventus is playing Serie B and they are playing the UCL final.  Pretty fair, isn't it?

My point exactly.  Punishment should have been handed out equally.

Fair or not, UEFA didn't do anything about it since the beginning of the cup.

Obviously whoever hands out the punishment's believed AC didn't fix as much as Juve.

I can't remember what even happened it was so long ago. From what i do remember, 4 clubs were accused of fixing. Can't remember if it was proved, probably so.

Fixing is fixing be it 1 game or 10.  Penalties should have been given out equally.  You really believe a team that has besmirched the good name of the game should be allowed to hold the premier title in European football?  Some ambassadors of the game in Europe they are....

Of course not, not if they won the title by doing it.

But how long should they be punished? How long would you have them banned from the CL?

The claim here is injustice. An example should be Barry Bonds, the MLB should substract the homeruns that he made in his steroid use period, but it won't be done. Same as for Milan, nothing will happen and people will forget it in the next year.

Well I would have relegated them to serie B along with the other clubs involved in line with Juve's penalty.  So at least untill they could have returned to Serie A and qualified again.

Juventus won that title, Milan came in second place and Inter third.  Since Juventus and Milan fixed games, they were punished and Inter was declared champion.  But Juventus was sent to serie B and Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio stayed in Serie A.  If Juventus is about to make its comeback to serie A, Milan shouldn't have played the UCL at least.  They went unpunished.

If Milan did nothing, then why wasn't Milan the champion of that league if they came in second place?

Less fixing?  You've either been involved in fixing or not.  All the clubs involved should have been relegated.
