For you to have no pity... well you can just eat a cock, didnt your mother teach you any manners?

not my fault you bought a cheap alarm. spend as much on an alarm as you did on those JLs and it probably wouldnt have happened. thats why i have no pity.....its kind of like preventative maintenance. do you get your oil changed?
Are you really just going to be an asshole... dont bother posting in here if you are going to act like a dipshit.  I spent 300 dollars on my alarm system.

Just dont bother reading this thread at all.... Just get out if you are going to act like that.  Seriously, you arent doing me any good by posting, just flaming me in my opinion, so go fuck yourself alright.
report me if you feel like im flaming.
im not, im telling you the facts.

you spent $300 on your alarm? so you spent more on your radar detector than your alarm......

my alarm was $1200, and thats not even the best. but it keeps $4,000 worth of shit from getting stolen.
do the math.

Yeah, luckly I didnt have my Passport 8500 in there at the time.
so you have the money for the JL shit, and you have the money for the 8500 (which last i checked was @ $360)....why didnt you just get the good alarm?

that would have been the package deal right there.
My alarm system was made for Wranglers, I bought it in a Jeep magazine... I dont know what fucking happened obviously!!!!

I bought the passport much later my friend... You are missing the point, the point was not to tell me that I had somehow messed up and this is my fault... After owning my stuff for that long, like I said, I really wasnt as up tight about it.  I was more lax, so you are going to tell me after 6 years I should have still been on my toes?

Im more upset about my top being sliced open than I am my equipment.

dont buy that stuff.....i know you were worried about the soft top, but with a motion sensor that can be covered.

i dont know how your alarm works but if you bought it from a jeep magazine, they probably just didnt set off any of the sensors. you can bypass all sorts of shit if you know what to look for.

Sadly alram or not, if they want your stuff bad enough they'll get it.

I remember the night my truck got robbed, I heard the loud pop of the screwdriver busting my door lock but i thought nothing of it as i was laying in bed.  The next morning I discovered my missing stereo and the small footprints in the snow suggesting it was kids that did it.  I stayed up late for days after that hoping they would return to my street to harvest more cars but retribution would never come.  I kick myself all the time for not getting my lazy ass out of bed to investigate that noise but hindsight is 20/20.

Just remember if you have a system in your vehicle don't advertise it by driving down your street rattling house windows with your bass, you may think nothing of it but the criminal mind notices this and has no problem relieving you of your goodies.  Also, check your insurance to see if your covered because you'd be surprised what's not, and of course get a decent alarm because crooks hate loud noises that draw attention to their deeds.

Believe me, it was installed by a pro.  Everything was hidden, the senor was near my shifter hidden.  There is also a 9volt hooked up under the hood in case they cut the power to it, it has reserve power.... I am not sure that if after the years went by or perhaps when I was changing something a long time ago I perhaps knocked something loose... I dont know for sure, but I was very cautious when making decisions.

well, even six years ago JL wasnt cheap.
anyway, its a responsibility thats on you if you want to keep things like that in your car. hopefully you learned your lesson and next time if you need a system you will get a *QUALITY* alarm before you put it in.....or just get it stolen and make another thread.

Drunkenresistance, Don't bother posting a thread if every time you get a slightly negative post you go off on a tangent ranting swearing and telling people to stop posting. This is the internet, if someone thinks you were stupid and didn't buy a quality alarm, they have every right to post it. If you don't like it, delete your thread and go live under a rock.

@DrunkenResistance, dont suppose you took it into a garage (mechanic) at anypoint recently?

My bro took his car to a garage to get something fixed on his car a while back. Then two days later his car got broken into. They knew that there was a CD changer in the boot (trunk) so broke into the drivers seat, then opened the boot (or something like that), took the changer and nothing else.
So my bro was asking himself the question of how the hell they knew it was there? It is always covered up so no one would see it when he opened the boot to put shopping in. So he came to the conclusion that the mechanics must have seen it, had his address from their records and then came round one night.

Nope... nothing like that.  Last time it saw a garage was for new tires and shocks but it was in another city.

And to you JAMESEYY, watch it bud, I wasnt asking for someone to tell me where I may have fucked up.  I was merely trying to vent some frustration at the time.  I know there is no controlling something if someone wants something they will get it.  I didnt ask for people to tell me, oh man you're a n00b for having a softtop jeep and wanting to put nice stuff in it.  Well, I shouldnt have to worry about it in the first place considering where I live.  Like I said, I was on my way to my last final, I was super fucking frustrated... and I wanted to let someone know...Talk about it a little but, unlike a psychologist would do, some of you people decided to tell me that i'm stupid for not having a proper alarm.  I didnt really want to hear that shit, just perhaps have someone level with me and how I feel and perhaps laugh a little bit about it.
So... I dont know what to tell you, perhaps you should take your rock and shove it straight up your ass... or at an angle, I dont care.

Gutted.

I went to a theme park in the UK with my dad, and while we were in there, someone broke into the boot of his Lamborghini Murcialago...only to find the engine!! So they broke open the bonnet and took a Football that was in there, and then made a massive scratch mark up the side of the car. I mean WTF!?! Why are peoplesuch assholes?

And to Parker: SHUT UP.

That sucks bro. I'm on my second Jeep now and usually keep nothing in it and leave the doors unlocked. My old one got broken into a few years ago, but all I had in it was some burnt cd's. Always been afraid of someone slicing the top just to piss me off. I try to leave it unlocked and empty. Sorry you had to deal with that. Comes with owning a jeep though.

Sucks man, my sister had a Wrangler, the softops are nice, shame about losing your stuff.  As for the alarm issue, alarms are garbage, where I live (suburbs of detroit) if an alarm goes off no one pays attention, just wait for the jerk with it to turn it off.  Alarms dont stop a damn thing, if anythingitll make the would be robber work faster.  My sister had her car(2 previous before the wrangler) stolen, asshole completly dug the driverside door lock out of the metal(was a bit rusty if you must know) drove away, then just dumped it...

People are assholes, doesnt matter what you do, where theres a will theres a way.
