The key word here is intimacy.

If a girl is interested in you then she wants to get intimate with you.  Guys want to get intimate also, but we usually tend toward physical intimacy.  Most women, on the other hand, seek emotional intimacy.  They want to know who you are and how you feel.

This is the reason why art and poetry tend to be so powerful, but only if you are able to express your feelings and deep dreams through them.  If you give something like flowers, then there needs to be something meaningful attached with them.

Oh, and I should mention, that intimacy is gradual and teasing.  You give a little at a time, otherwise it comes on too strong and threatening.

So, generate something that is you ... forget the formulas.  Create something that expresses who you are and how you feel.  If you are a musician, write a song ... if a poet, write a poem ... even a short note on a card does the trick.

Stingray and OrangeHound pretty much covered it, remember, put her first, and its the small things that count, always being there, little surprises when she doesn't expect it, when you are with her, just hold her, just be with her, let her go to sleep on your chest, when shes mad at you, chase after her, never let her walk away, thats the worst thing you can do, dont be over-bearing, dont call constantly, talk a few hours a day maybe, but when you call all the time, wanna talk all the time, it gets annoying.

About the small things, its amazing, a little surprise like some roses left at her house when she is away, or comforting her when she is sad, but when you do it, dont do it all the time, make it random, make it just at the right timing, if you do it to often it starts to lose its meaning. And poems, hell, I suck at writing, but it didnt matter, I spent hours righting, trying to get my thoughts out and to make sense, I still think I suck, but she has them tacked onto the wall of her room, its probably just to be nice, idk.


And dude, do not ever be embarressed of her, show her that your proud of her, when your with a group of people, kiss her, in a way that says "yeah, shes all mine and I love her", if you can do that, you should turn out great with her.

I had the time of my life with my girlfriend, we went out for 1 and a half years, she broke my heart when we broke up, it was just bad, really bad, but I stuck there, I showed her I cared, and its been a month, and we are "going out"(its not official cause her best friend hates what happened last time, so we gotta wait 3 months until all is good and everything is cleared up).

Edit- Yeah Im weird, Im 15 and Im in love, or maybe Im just stupid, but either way, Id still do anything for her, and like someone said before in another topic(I think it was Stingray), love isnt when you would die for her, its when you would die without her.


Dude, I hope you dont fall in love, while it is the best feeling in the world, it can really really suck some times.

Must not agree with ahhhhh yeah it's good advise I wouldn't go as far as write a song/do a poem for her(it it's in early stages it might come off as cheesy)

In all honesty do what you like let her be intagrated into your culture if you're looking for a long term thing.. Example if you really like the girl and your thing is hanging out with your local mates and drinking pints of beer in a shitty beer, take her there. Don't be phony just to get in a girls pants do what comes natural.. Then afterwards if things go right for both of you show her your sensitive side or personal side.. If she Not down for your normal routine, it's not worth getting all intimate iwth her cause you're going to miss out on your regular stuff and resent her for it...

I edited it to get the space it out and also to type if you're looking for a long time thing let her respect and love you for who you are, don't get all seperated by being all romatice if that's not who you are cause then she's going to expect it from you all the time.... next thing you know you're going to be spending the next two years trying to live up to something you're not really comfortable with..

It has been my experience that a card, with a well thought out paragraph written in it, means the world to women. Seriously, Hallmark knows their shit.

Usually, just be yourself (I hate that phrase, but it's true).

Don't overspend, but don't go to McDonalds for a date. I prefer to pay for everything, because that is how I was raised. I know now adays thats not the case. Little things matter. Holding doors n' such. Just be chivalrous.

girls have this ridicoulous idea that all guys are romantic, they see these movies on tv and they think all men are supposed to have a sensitive side. my fiance flips when i buy her flowers, because i RARELY do(I tell her its a waste of money and they are going to die). imagine if i bought her flowers all the time... whoop dee do. Tell her you think love movies are gay and you wouldnt be caught dead going to see one... then take her to one.

Mine goes for chocolate as a present, must just be a personal thing - dont think it works for them all.
