The in-game logic, coded into BF2, for TK's does not make sense - often!
I shot a vehicle the moment a opposing player jumped out and it was with an assult rifle. It caused the vehicle
to explode and the guy got away, but some guy on my team with only a few bars of health left dies when the
vehicle explodes as the result of my shot.
. . . and of course it's pretty automatic - and I don't care:
"You've been punished for a teamkill" - LOL
Also this is super stupid - I was in a chopper and my gunner shot the other chopper coming right at us - it exploded - we only had 4 bars left - so we exploded as a result of his shot? He was awarded the privelidge of a teamkill?
And if a guy is a really good TK-er he can TK you without loosing points. He drives a jeep really fast in your
direction like he is actually going somewhere - then swerves toward you the moment you're in-range and jumps out. No TK points and no punish option (he didn't kill you - an empty vehicle did!).
and yet . . .
I have been killed by a rubber raft - just getting out of it before it came to a complete stop - it's empty and yet (-2) shows up - like a suicide - LOL.
TK's, team damage, etc. are often an oddity if they're not the result of intentially directed damage.
