I dunno, i have never understood it. Personally it's all i play along with Support and Sniper.

I don't hate medics, I hate the G36E, that's something different.

well there is a difference between being medic, and playing as medic.

The medic who revives you even if the support who killed you is still spamming bullets in your direction is annoying. (In some occasions it's oke, if you are the squadleader for example). But still, a good medic kills the threat first, and then revives.

The bad medics either: Never revive you or never give heal packages OR they run with paddles out, and revive every dead person, usually resulting in dying themselves and thus losing 2 tickets.

So why all the hate?

there are a lot of dumb people that want to feel important. they will hate on medics to draw attention away from their lack of importance in the average round of bf2. or they are vehicle whores. either way, they don't matter.

The medic hate is (i) medics that ignore you when you need packs or reviving reinforcing that some players don't understand teamwork, and (ii) players using tha packs on themselves to stay in longer (there's nothing wrong with that, it just annoys as no other kit can). Usually the players who are the problem do both.

Personally, the medic upgrade guns rock (only have used the l35 not the g36 yet) but if I take medic it is because I am going to heal and revive. It is a good way to earn points, but it also helps the team.

As for as the criticism on healing before killing someone made before, I always tend to reveive first. There is nothing worse than running your ass off to dive at a buddy and miss him by 1 second. Plus once he is alive, it's 2 of you to fight your way out. Anyway, usually there other other team mates around, so you have to rely on them to cover you while you revive. If on my own, I will try to kill the killer forst, but sometimes you just don't have time to think.

And the number of times I have been killed, only to think. "I should have dropped a pack for myself ... ". But I am still getting used to it. Once you play enough you do it without thinking, and I don't play regularly enough to be at that stage yet.

I just played a server tonight and was on Songhua, and realised we were getting massacred, and no one was medic!!!!! So I jumped in and revived my a$$ off. The funny thing was I also dropped about 6 guys in 2 minutes while I was doing it. I was so concentrated on healing and reviving the shooting became a 2nd thought, and I actually played better. "Use the force luke ..." I had been playing cr@p until then, couldn't get my eye in.

People like to be a medic whore because:

1. You get a lot of points with healing and reviving
2. You can hel yourself every time (its USEFUL)
3. Overpowered n00b guns like the G36E anyway stock guns rulz also
4. Again point whoring and point whoring

I started playing medic in the days coz i want to reach 100 hours !

I used to hate medics, but then i started using the M16, and the L85A1 more, now i love medics ..... But i hate those who use the G36E all the time then tell everyone else how good they are and how good their stats are

Exactly. If its so good and everybody moans about others using the kit, why dont they use it themselves?

I don't play medic because I already got expert, so i'm whoring assault. I prefer assault now.

My only ick is the g36e but I usually kill them before I notice what gun they are using

This morning I was playing with a community member who I play with quite often.  Crossing the bridge to the island on Karkand I revived him 3-4 times and he kept getting hit by the same sniper. 

After the last time I reveived him he said on TS "Just let me die."  I told him "NO. It only counts as a death if I don't revive ya, go kick his ass !  "   LOL, sure enough we made it accross the bridge and did just that.

I will try and kill the threat before reviving but if I don't know where he is I'll tell my team mate "get ready to jump" as I approach them.  Sure, I've gotten my share of deaths reviving but I think I've served my team well.
