Why is it that one has to resort to what most here would consider a crackpot website to discover ( gasp ) the driver is an ILLEGAL ALIEN.

Why wasn't it mentioned in any of the stories?
The "spokesperson" for the company says that Jorge Miguel Romero is a "legal resident" but not a citizen, naturally.
This is likely because the illegal aliens advocates consider legal anybody who makes it across the border.

Apart from the fact that his residence status has nothing to do with his driving skills?

There's the fact that the website doesn't say that. It says that the company says that he's a legal resident, then guesses that he faked the papers without anything to back it up.

If you people had been on the receiving end of the accident it might change your tune. My wife and I could easily not be here right now because of someone like this.

We were hit head on by an illegal with no license, no plates, no insurance. He was doing 70mph in a 55mph zone and could’ve easily killed us, but the car I had bought 2 weeks earlier saved our lives. The steering wheel nearly crushed my chest but fortunately it slid up my chest giving me a severe bruise. I also pulled a muscle in my bicep because of the force of the collision. If numbnuts had been in his home country instead of here in the US illegally that day, my wife and I wouldn’t have had injuries and we wouldn’t have lost our car. All he got was a ticket for inattentive driving while I spent money on a hospital stay and replacing my vehicle. Needless expense for me and needless tragedy for the victims mentioned in the OP.

you know, i disagree with ATG on about 99.999999% of things. Except for this. I cant speak to how things are in YOUR corner of the planet, but here in Socal there is an invasion going on, and this is just another result of not securing our borders. Or doing anything for that matter. Normally I hate litigation, but I hope that company gets sued into non-existence, as well as its owners.

If he was illegal and he shouldn't have been here then of course his immigration status is relevant. It's one thing to sneak into a country and protest against their laws, it is another thing to come into someones house and take life. It is not the only thing to consider, but you had better believe if it was someone you lost you would be questing why that person was here in the first place. If the immigration laws were enforced in this particular situation then it would not have happened. That is relevant to the story, and should have been reported.

That guy was a legal resident. Just because he's not a citizen doesn't mean he's a illegal and it didn't say he was illegal and anything you posted. OMFG he drove with his light's off? He was speeding? My dad is a truck driver and my uncle was. Both of them have to speed a lot to stay on dead lines. He was legal, bitch about someone who was illegal. Why wasn't he deported? Why wasn't he reported to immigration? Didn't you get money from your insurance company to replace your vehicle? How did you know he was illegal? And some idiot from good ol' US of A could have easily done the same shit to you or someone you loved.
