Its more of a story if the US does it because the US has in past puffed up its chest and said "We're about freedom and liberty, we are the leaders of the free world!  Fuck off you KGB wiretapping homos, don't worry about showing us your papers before you let the door hit your ass on the way out" etc...and not without just cause.

Coumbia, on the other hand, has no such history.
