Why is it that people play Battlefield 2? Is it because it is fun?
Does it help you relieve stress?
Does it add stress?
Are you just too addicted?
No life?
Like the "adrenaline rush" of killing sprees?

**Update**
I play because I find Battefield 2 very enjoyble. I have always thought it was fun, although at times like -> patch 1.4, I was annoyed because it took forever to master prone spamming and they turn around and remove it.
I find it addicting because of the shoot-em-up game style.
I find it releiving stress by destroying my enemy and getting my satisfaction .
It only adds stress when I lose, or I'm just tired and get iritable easily.
The only adrenaline rush I get is when I go on a killing rampage ^_^.

I like it because its fun and a good way to keep in touch with some of my friends from high school. Since we are thousands of miles away now, its nice to be able to talk and joke around as if we were just hanging out lie old times.

Im not saying that you would want to add stress, more that the fact it DOES add stress and you simply are too addicted to the game to stop playing.

I play it because it's a fun videogame, and I like fun videogames. I guess because it's one of the rare times my mind is focused on what I'm doing and I'm motivated. I don't have ADD as far as I know, but when I'm doing something I don't like or find boring (which is a lot of things) my mind constantly drifts and I can't focus or stay motivated. With videogames, I finally feel like I'm able to set my mind to something and accomplish it. Yes I can set my mind to other things and accomplish those things, and I have many times, but I didn't necessarily enjoy it as much as gaming.

But of course, even videogames get old for me and I get bored and can't focus on those, in which case I find something else to do.

It's fun, it's a good stress-reliever, it's fun to try and better my stats, it's interesting to see how I've improved, it helps hand-eye-coordination, it helps me keep in touch with my friends...

Oh, and I spent 50 bucks on it and I want to get my money's worth.

actually the game stresses me out pretty often. I naturally have a pretty short fuse and tend to get alot of hitreg issues due to having a low end computer. As you can guess the accumalation of deaths for dubious reasons from lack of teamwork to shots not registering to annoying nade spammers really gets to me sometimes. In addition, being in the top 30, number one medic and assualt rifle by stats just adds fuel to the fire due to people's constant expectations of me to perform. I guess I'm trying to remember that when I get frustrated in this game 90% of the time its due to factors out of my control particularly my inconsistent hitreg. My accuracy is starting to reflect that as you can tell by my stats.

My mother told me that on TV they did a study, and the amount of adrenaline rush gamers get off 'killing sprees' and playing the games is equal to a shot of speed.

I play to hang out with friends. Meet new friends. Pwn people. To pass time by. To do something while my real life friends are asleep. etc.

There are days where I'll get insanely frustrated with the game. Either I'm just having a bad round and keep getting killed, but usually it's because I'm going for an award and can't seem to get it. Just the other day I was cussing at the computer because I had 100 hours as support but I wasn't getting any expert resupply badges despite the 30+ ammo points accumulated in a round.

But then there are the good days where I just love every minute I play and I'm very satisfied
