Some gun stores have indoor shooting ranges, your probably looking at spending no more than 50 dollars for an hour of renting the range and renting the gun and buying the ammo. The people there can instruct you on how to shoot.ThomasMorgan wrote:

I'm hoping I don't need to buy one first. And, what kind of costs am I looking at here? Is this something I can do when I have an hour or so of free time? Or should I make sure I have more time available...?

there is a lot of technique when firing a handgun, but just get used to the feel of it, honestly your probably not gonna hit shit the first couple of times you shoot. to get accruate you need practice, and a lot of it. when i first started shooting when i was around 7 i started out a .22 worked my way through up to a .308, 30-06 and 7mm mag for rifles and 12 ga for a shotty. i am very proficient with long guns and shot guns, i go trap shooting (clay pigeons) and have shot a few possibles in my time (25 for 25, 100% hit rate). in the Marine Corps i was a 6th award expert, and we shot as far out as 500 yards, in all six times at the range to shoot for score at 500 yards i hit the bullseye 57 out of 60 times (i don't know what happend to the 3 stray bullets, shitty spotters i suppose). when i first shot a hand gun, i was so embarrasseed that i couldnt hold a good pattern that i wanted to stop right there on the spot, but my Dad told me that it would take time and practice to become good, and of course he was right. after lots of practice i can finally say that i can hold my own with a hand gun, at 25 yards i can hold about 3.5" group, and the closer the target gets the tighter the pattern gets. i usualy practice point shooting at distances of 3 ft to 15 ft, that is where most gun fights happen. the 25 yard thing, well lets just say if you shot someone at that distance your going to jail for murder.

MP5 is plenty accurate especially when using a shoulder stock. The more control you have over a firearm the more accurate you can be. Also a MP5 is going to have a longer barrel than most pistols, which result in more accurate shots. Firing is full-auto however takes technique.Hurricane wrote:

I would bet you that someone who has never shot a firearm before could shoot a full-auto MP5 more accurately than they could shoot a full-auto Glock 18 (pistol). I would make the same bet in semi-auto.
It is both. It shoots a .410 (shotgun) and the .45 long (pistol cartridge). The barrel is rifled so that it disperses the shot more rapidly than the smooth bore. Did you see the dispersion damage it did to the target? My point is that it is small enough to fit in your night stand and more importantly when you walk around the corner of you hall.... Suppose you've got your big .12 gauge.. The intruder sees your barrel coming around the corner and grabs the barrel of the shotgun. With the Judge, that doesn't happen.ThomasMorgan wrote:
