I have two setup and the nvidia setup says I can have two different wallpapers etc. but everytime I try and apply a wallpaper to one it gets applied to both. any ideas on how to make it for just one and then another for the other monitor?

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Your monitors are most likely linked together in a 'stretch' mode or something, am I right? Make sure you don't have a startbar on the secondary monitor, then you should be able to solely change the background on it.
If you turn on "nView desktop manager" from the nvidia control panel and go to desktop > properties (or options) > tick "Allow different wallpapers for displays" (Or something like that, it's in Finnish for me ). Then you can have different for both.
EDIT: Here's a guide image if you need (In Finnish though)
