Sharqi... Nice clear sky and many people to rape... Tha hackers sure miss something with their "No Sky" effects
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Fushe. A huge valley with a river winding down the middle. Look up at the blue sky. Great for flying. Waterfalls everywhere. Hills to jump DPVs off of. Lovely.
Dragon's the same thing. Except it's actually got "Valley" in its name.Smithereener wrote:

Therefore I win.
Chinese maps in general, but Wake. MEC maps are like huge hairy sandy foggy vaginas.

Dragon Valley has a blinding sky. Plus, it doesn't have waterfalls I think. That's the reason I like Fushe better anyway. It doesn't hurt to stare at the sky when your dead. (Happened quite a bit to me )
Still a nice map though.

I like Mashtuur. It has that cool Arab city feel to it, it's nice and light, no pollution like Karkand, and looking over the mountain towards the city is really cool.
Dragon Valley because of all the trees and the blue sky
Wish mine looked like that . All the maps look like ass on low. With low framerate..
And i cant play Fushe either because of a low framerate when i try to fly. *cries*

Wake: The weather is rarely bad there
Oman: Its like a mystery flight in a chopper
Fu She Pass: Hills, Trees, Blue sky & A nice river

Songhua stalemate. The deep green everywhere is, uh, relaxin, and beautiful. It's also very exotic looking. Running through hilly bamboo rain forests is sooo l33t. When I first began playin bf2, all the maps we're beautiful, tbh, but the Asain maps really stood out. Now, I'm a lot more focused on the gameplay than the aesthetics, but Songhua alwaysss pleases me in both ways=]
Operation Harvest...
It reminds me of pennsylvania...
when I was young...
Plus the thunder is cool..
You can almost smell the windy air on that map.
And it feels like its about to rain.

Agreed... There is nothing even close to as amazingFlaming_Maniac wrote:

It is a beautiful map in many ways. I would go between that or the swamp map between the USMC and PLA but I can't ever find a stable server that runs it anymore, I think that is my favorite map of all time still.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Wake. It has this *summer sun and sunshine* atmosphere. Playing wake is some kind of holiday
Vanilla maps looks old and outdated now (although FuShe is pretty).
Mass Destruction is also a very nice map (the colours and textures really make me feel as if it is based in Chechnya, very well done). Road Rage is nice too.
But...its definitly a tie between Operation Harvest and Great Wall.
Harvest gives fantastic scenery in the rolling American farmland and the new buildings are simply stunning. The thunder claps and lightning strikes just top it off perfectly.
Great Wall, well, its beautiful! Fantastic hills and scenery and the general sky and "mist" really works well. The Walls themselves are also very well made. If it had an active atmosphere like Harvest it would be the clear winner.

Operation Smoke Screen is also a beatiful map, any other map with MEC in it is ugly as hell. Wake and Dalian are also pretty beatiful.
rotfl dude this topic is rather... old and dead
Modded Daqing tbh.
But yes Fushe is awsm.
