High school students locked down for hours following the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old student were released Wednesday evening as police continued searching for a suspect and anguished parents awaited news of their children's safety.

Wow... so close to home. I was about 30minutes from here all day today and I had no idea until now.

We had bomb threats on our school this week, our principals are going INSANE! my 6th hour teacher actually screamed at us at the top of his lungs because people were complaining that we couldnt have backpacks, and so he preached to us about how he didnt have backpacks in his day, lol.

And then they found this chinese kid had bullets, but no gun.

Fun stuff we got goin on here toward the end of school.

A kid who wrote bomb threats in our school and has us on Lockdown on 5/15 (even though only like 300/1000 people came to school) was just caught yesterday.

They always assume it's the more popular and athletic kids, but it's not. The kid who did it was an absolutely perverted and reclusive kid who was gross on so many levels. He was taken away in front of everyone yesterday in a police cruiser.

Now than another school shooting has occurred can we make VT jokes?

On a serious note this begs the question: What kind of a parent will keep a gun in a location that a child can access? Kids should under no circumstance have guns (except really weak guns that can't kill anything bigger than a sparrow).

Unfortunately most of us in the US haven't heard about this. The sad thing is the reason: It doesn't concern the US at all, so therefore it's not on American news.

School shootings are more frequent than you think. They aren't all reported (Nationally). Last year there were 15 different cases just in the US. The year before was 24.
