And FYI every dollar spent in Iraq is affecting your life
No, it really is not.
For example, I leave for LA in a couple hours to go see my sister, the return tomorrow evening around 7. I will grab some beer on the way home from the airport and watch Family Guy. I will wake up Monday, go to Starbucks, then continue on to work. On the way to work I will pass the police station who just got brand new cars and equipment this year. I will pass the brand new fire station also. I will pass the brand new high school and football field. I will pass numerous construction projects both residential and commercial. I will do this by driving my new car down a freshly paved street.
No this is not a lie, this is the truth. This is the truth for people who bust their asses and work hard. If the money wasn't spent on the military, what would it be spent on?
Welfare and food stamps? Gee great, more lazy dependent people.
Border Security? I wish. But where was that money for border security in the 80's and 90's?
Environment? I wish. But where was that money for border security in the 80's and 90's?
Sad fact is that money would go to shit that does not help the people who work hard.
*As a side note, those of you who like this new border security legislation, does it not seem pretty damn similar to Regan's border plan in the mid 80's? I also suggest you look and see why it was shot down back then.
