Well, my friend really wants to get me into Airsoft guns and take me to the ranges and shit. I'm sure plenty of people here have experience with it, so any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking at the P90 for some BF2-esque fighting, but the AK-47 looks like a really nice and simple gun. Easy to re-load too.

If you're looking to get into airsoft, buy a quality brand. (I work for an airsoft shop, not just speaking from my ass, www.americantactical.org).

Brands to look for: Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, G&P, G&G, Echo 1 Usa (A Tokyo Marui copy with Classic Army Gears), Tanaka, KSC has some decent gas guns... ICS is ok too...

Brands to avoid IMO: SRC, Wells, UTG, and anything that claims to be a "Tokyo Marui Clone"

UTG has some good accessories, rail systems, and mounts..

To answer your question, Tokyo Marui (The most reputable brand in airsoft) reintroduced their P90 not long ago, and that gun runs like a champ. I highly recommend it.

once you get older, airsoft will be a great stepping stone to learning real firearms.....i started with airsoft and no i shoot machine guns pretty accurately. stick with it, its a great sport.

Actually I never knew how far you could go with an airsoft gun until I took my concealed carry weapon class here today, part of it was the NRA basic pistol course and they had airsoft stuff in the book. Apparently you can shoot airsoft competitively, I never knew that. I can see how airsofts are a great stepping stone to an actual firearm, so I hope you all have the great privilege to actually own a real firearm one day if you so choose. Until then keep shooting each other with airsofts and get it all out of your system before ya get the real thing lol.
