I unlocked the G36E (tier 2) WHILE I WAS PLAYING BF2SF.  But I never can use the gun!  I loaded up BF2 and guess what....  I can use the G36E there.  Whats going on here?  Anyone else ever run into this problem and or know how to fix it?

When playing SF the guns aren't unlockable, they are set as the standard gun for the team you are on (SAS, SEAL, etc..) 

When you play BF2, you have the unlocks available to you.  This makes it possible for you to test all the guns before you decide on using your unlock. (just play SF single player and try out all the kits on the different teams)

if this is true, then why was the gun not available for unlock until SF came out? it IS an unlockable weapon, there, I should be able to use the weapon regardless of team I am on, just like the weapons I already have unlocked.   I just don't buy it...

Damn you EA Games...  you owe me a free unlock.

It's an unlock. But it's also an standard weapon in BF2:SF.

Every unlockable weapon you unlock in BF2:SF is an ordinary standard weapon in BF2:SF used by either SAS or SEAL. All unlockable weapon you unlock in BF2:SF can be used as an unlock in BF2.

So what your saying is....

1)  Every gun you unlock in BF2 you can play with in BF2SF and BF2
2)  Every gun you unlock in BF2FS, you can play in BF2, but not BF2FS?

So the only reason I am playing BF2FS is to unlock weapons to use in BF2?  And of course you get crappy night vision maps... horrible graphics and LAAAAAG.  Oh yeah..  jet skis and ATV's that kill people instantly...  Now you got me going..  I had a guy in one of those crappy pickup trucks hit 2 (count them TWO) of my brand new Hummer H1's head on and blow them both up with the same truck. 

Does this mean that BF2 is actually a expansion pack for BF2SF?   Hmm....

Either way....  EA GAMES, YOU STILL OWE ME A DAMN UNLOCK THAT I CAN ACTUALLY USE IN BF2FS!!!!!!!

That's exactly it. Sucks, but that's how it works.
