Allright, those of you who read my topic asking for computer parts advice for a new comp will be happy to hear that I (somehow and with much help from EVGA tech support) managed to get it working.  My issue now is Vista.  I have the disk in and it shows me my 2 HD's: both Western Digital, one a 7200RPM 320GB and the other a 10K RPM 150GB.  When I say I want it on the larger HD, Vista says:

"This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk.  Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

Then, I click the the larger HD and click "Next" and it says:

"Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation.

So....  what do I do?  I clearly have enough room on the HD.  I partitioned them to use their full memory.  Help is appreciated.

also make sure you choose the drive that you have on boot priority as the first to boot on, to partition. IE dont have the 10k on first boot priority but partition and install on the 7.2k, it probably won't work.

That does look very helpful indeed.  I swear I went to M$ before I posted here, but I guess I didn't search well enough on their site.  Thanks.

have you checked if your harddiskes are plugged in as master and slave ?

When you boot, check what drivers you are using - eg. fastrak 378 drivers.
Then get on another computer and download either the vista or latest drivers; shove them on a USB and then use them in the Vista installation, you should have an option to install new drivers.

I think it isn't detecting it because of that. I had a similar problem, but my HDs were blanked out, so I had to install the new drivers manually.

Thanks for the ideas, but I already got it to work (somehow).  I just kept spamming the 'Next' button until it worked and it did work.  I have no idea why it worked.  Have some karma for helping anyway.
