If you're going to check your bag(s), then you don't need to worry about the size of bottles that contain liquids/gels.  However, if you are going to carry your bag(s) on, remember the 3-1-1 rule:

* liquids/gels must be 3 oz or less
* all liquids/gels must be in contained in a 1 quart-sized ziptop bag
* 1 quart-sized ziptop bag per passenger

Examples of liquids/gels that must be in this ziptop bag are:

* deodorant
* toothpaste
* cologne
* lip balm (Chapstick, Carmex, etc.)
* liptstick
* makeup
* etc.

Liquids purchased after security, such as bottles of pop, juice, water, etc., are OK to carry on the plane with you.  However, do not try to pass through security with these items, unless you want to throw them out.  Also, any liquids/gels in containers larger than 3 oz will have to be thrown away.
