What is the problem with it, the article just said who was getting rid of it and that they were scared.
And lets get rid of TVs, Radios, CB's, light bulbs, cars, power stations and lets not forget the stove. Though I have just no idea how some one can get rid of the sun...
All are sources of radiation to a point. Even radio waves are a form of light that are out side the visible light spectrum.

It is the same thing as cellphones only much more concentrated and much worse. I am sure that it will not harm you unless you spend the majority in front of your life in front of it though.
