You always think "Wow, I love the sound of those sirens!" as you are running for cover from an inevitable air-raid.
That's the same way the town was where I grew up...the whistle blew at 12:00pm for lunch, and was sounded for fires and severe weather.derstralle wrote:

The city where I live now uses the sirens for severe weather.
Ive never heard one, I guess london sucks, that or the chavs broke em down
they let one off to test it near where we used to live one day when my grandfather was staying with us... he damn near had a heart attack lol, he was stationed in/near london during the blitz :\ that sound sticks with you i guess

Also I think that places that might be prone to Hurricanes might have then too but the then you would have to ask someone from Florida....
