Ok, I finally started playing BF2 again now that my ISP installed a third line here at my apartment complex, and can now run 60-100 pings (assuming I haven't used up the tiny bandwidth limit they give) instead of the 300-500 I had before! However, it seems to have come at a cost.

I can't get the MEC music out of my head!! Is this a sign I play too much/have nothing else to do, or is this a normal side effect?

Considering you only have 30 hours of play and have MEC music in your head... this is a very troubled sign!!!

The worst part is, I've been playing the Chinese maps the most lately. At least... I think I have.. I dunno. When you die a bunch in any of them, they all tend to look the same. A tank's still a 40 ton metal block rolling over your head no matter where you go. Aha, but at least I got my revenge finally two maps ago.. Flew a wee bit too low while I was hovering over an allied tank when he rammed an enemy tank.. All three of us blew up. It was awesome. I just wish I'd had fraps going.

Well I tried lowering the music (disabling it completely kinda feels like there's something missing) and I'm so intently awaiting the next game that it burrows into my head anyway. However, I discovered one thing that CAN get it out. The intermission/ending music from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That length of organ music knocks anything else out and -takes over-.  lol
