SPM actually sounds like it may be the most meaningful stat.  Aside from how and which kit you play and your tactics (which affect all other stats it seems) SPM actually shows more of your contribution to the team on average.  Am I understanding that right?

So ... my SPM is currently 1.88 ... so in a 20 minute game I would contribute about 38 points (which sadly sounds about right for me)  I have raised it from a noobish .5 SPM or something similar though.   What is a realistic/average SPM that I should strive for?

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far...

Anything above 2.5 is relatively good.  I think you will find a lot of people who are above 4 are mostly medics who just revive people.

I agree with you on face value.  One thing that f's it up is Avaiators.

When you can go 50/5 or the like your SPM is going to skyrocket.

I'm confused ... a medic that just revives will get killed alot compared to how many enemies he kills.   Wouldn't that give him a KDR<1 ?

No if they revive enemies that are alive

Yes.  Some meds are suicide meds who only are out to revive people no matter what.  When I used to med, I would kill the enemies before medding.  Anyway, if you kill people and revive at the same time, then of course both k/d and spm will rise.

Cant really agree here: a k/d of 2.5 would place you in the top 3000, while there are 265,000 accounts ranked for k/d.
I always consider 2+ pretty good, and 1.5 as an average.

i think t.pike says it best.  stats mean only what you want them to.

Don't know if this was an educational exercise for me or just part of your sig ... but I thought I would take a shot at  it to see what I can glean from stats.   Sorry Killer ... you were randomly selected as far as I know.

Looking at Killer21'a stats

SPM of 3.1 sounds good ...

2.9 KDR sounds good ....
54,500 total kills
only 11,600 in vehicles  41,500 with weapons   and some misc.
so 1/5 of his kills from vehicles and 1/2 of that are with armor.
No outragous C4/Clay/Grenade scores
Seems nice and spread out to me.

Kits are pretty evenly played...
With all the medic and support played it seems that his Teamscore would be higher though (of course I am clueless)
739 total hours but only 688 hours with kits ..... where did the other 50 hours go?   When do you play kitless?

From my figures below and generalizations above it seems Killer21 is combat oriented and vehicles but could utilize the Medic kit a little better when it comes to healing and reviving and his teamwork score seems to be a little low.  (Assuming they would be alot higher than my extrapolated scores since it doesn't figure me getting any better.)  Other than that he seems to be very capable in combat.  Overall, a seemingly good combat asset to his team.   Didn't notice anything that would insinuate stat padding.   No offence or anything Killer.   How did I do?

I'm not comparing to insinuate anything ... just trying to understand some scores and see where I fit in.  Killer21 has played 730 hours and I have played 150 hours ...  roughly 5 times longer than I have played. (Just for extrapolating from my score for comparison with the understanding if I did not improve and my gameplay remained the same.)

Killers  global 140K                My global would be 85K
Killers  Team Score 22K         Mine would be about 23K
Killers Combat 109K              Mine would be about 36K
Killers Command 20K            Mine would be about 24K

Killers Kill Ass  7K                 Mine would be about 4K

Killers Heal 800                    Mine would be about 1400     (using 3x time difference of medic kits)
Killers Revive 3K                  Mine would be about 2.6K
9000 kills as medic               Mine would be about 3600

Killers Support 2.5K              Mine would be about 240

Yah, don't be too worried about the stat thing. It's pretty much BS if you're just having fun or you just started and getting pwned left and right. Later on however, your stats begin to show that you're either learning the ropes with certain kits, vehicles and roles, and developing into a respectable player. Have fun is key. If you're not having fun man...sucks to be you.

That is a pretty fair assessment.  You are right.  My game play is more combat oriented vice teamwork oriented.  The 50 hrs that I am not in a kit are the times I have died and either am waiting for a medic to revive me or to respawn at a flag or our base.  I am more of a weapon person than a vehicle person.  You are more than welcome to continue to compare your stats with mine if you really want to.  It doesn't bother me in the least.

Whenever I look at someone's stats, I always wonder on what kind of servers they play.  If I did the calculation right, your rounds last about 12 minutes.  Would I be right to assume you play on servers with <30 slots and probably small or medium maps.  Is it mainly IO/vehicle or mixed?

I used to play IO servers but haven't play on any in a few months.  The server I play on right now is a 32 slot server with all vehicles.  I don't know the actual time but usually the maps last 20 mins unless someone is getting raped.

Thanks everyone.   I love this community!

I do have fun and am only using stats to try and guage my own performance/improvement.   Just seeing my overall KDR for the first time turned me into a more cautious player.  Of course seeing my crappy KDR on support and AT makes me want to play medic and sniper more.  So I guess stats can be counter productive in that aspect.

I don't care about using my noob account.  It seems that creating a new one just so my stats would be higher would be lame.  Although I can understand someone wanting to know their "true current" stats and creating a new account.

As long as my stats slowly rise or fall, like they should when a person improves, then I am happy and moving along.  I just didn't know if there was an angle I was missing or something.   I just don't want to get kicked out of a squad again becuase my stats suck.

K/d ratio doesn't always define a great player it does to an extent, but for example someone whos a colonel might have a 1.70 k/d ratio but might have just improved lately or they could have sucked in their early days.

Noticed my accuracy dropped quite a lot after randomly pissing around firing shit loads of shots into nowhere while waiting on a Jet/Heli etc.

My W/L ratio is 3.70 but I usually just join a game and spawn even if it is the losing team, might as well try win back rather than just pile ontop of them even more.

Agreed ... there is the stat performance lag monster ... also known as noobness ... that haunts your stat page.

In general though the longer you play the closer they get to "actual" but without ever getting there.

How much does commanding with artillary affect your stats?  I've only commanded on IO.

Not much, I don't think the kills are counted towards your total, just the total global score.
