I apologize for being rude and ugly. I probably went a little too-far
& over the top with that one.

So, to set the record straight, I don't hate Hillbillies,
or Jews, or spics, or Serbs, Croats, or Macedonians or Caucasians
Euros and Canadians and what not...

I grew up with em', they're my kinda people, and I love em'!
Chicago has so much culture concentrated in a small Region...
it's almost unbelievable!

I feel like I've learned allot in my 26 years on this here Earth,
Some people have told me that I'm an Old Soul.

I was a recruit halfway through USMC boot camp when 9/11 happened.
I knew then by the feel-in' in my gut' that something' smelled fishy.
And so here we are, 5-6 years later, still being fucked in the Wide Open!

I suggest you use the edit button in some of your previous post. Things often get heated in here and we need to make an effort to stay composed. I understand some of these topics are close to everyones hearts, but that does not grant anyone free reign to descend to the level F'U s and name calling.

As for the sites I will check them out. I am familiar with Global security already.

Is USA at war?
I hear "War on terror" every day and living in a NATO country I could be at war the next 200 years. And that would change my life.

Is USA in a real war? If all the terrorists were in one country would US declare war and invade like against Germany and Vietnam?
Or is this not a "real" war?

The terrorists were all in the same country?? Well, firstly, that was Afghanistan.

And the entire point of terrorism is you can't fight them in a conventional war. They fight that way because they can't fight a conventional war. That's the point.

And it's not a real war. It's a useful media sound bite term to sell the concept to chumps. Because I think Congress has to declare a war. And if there was a war, how does Guantanamo fit in? That pesky Geneva Convention!!!!

Which is ironic because Vietnam supposedly wasn't a war but a "police action".

I'm still confused because I saw this docu video where ppl were discussing some war resolutions approved by the US congress and the enhanced powers it gave the US president.
It's just nice to know if my country (member of NATO = defending all NATO countries) is at war or not. I'll ask my friend - he's been in Irak and is going to Afghanistan. He must know for sure.
